Dime Bar
Friday 14th January saw the former Red Monkey re-launched as The Dime Bar & Diner - part dive bar, part diner, the new venue has been given a vintage American makeover with a retro rock 'n' roll flavour, featuring everything from old 50s signage, rare old photos of rock and pop legends, custom neon art, a mix of new furniture and of course the three private (heavily soundproofed!) karaoke pods in the basement. The food menu is pure transatlantic comfort food, with some seriously delicious sandwiches, gourmet burgers and appetizers on offer. You can even order fries served in your own personal chip pan! Very cool.
Great house cocktails, fine wines and a selection of beers from the Americas are also available, with a frozen Margarita machine coming in the Spring! Go and check out the changes for yourself at 50-52 Battersea Rise, London, SW11 1EG.
